Our Story, So Far
With multi-billion piece capacity and operations across five continents, Malaysian-founded Supermax Healthcare is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of disposable gloves. As part of our commitment to global growth, in 2023 we made significant $350m investment in US-based manufacturing, with a new manufacturing facility in Texas.
Manufacturing for over 30 years and distributing to over 165 countries worldwide, the Supermax Healthcare Group has become one of the most recognized names in hand protection, fronted by our flagship in-house brand, AURELIA®.
AURELIA®, named after our founder’s daughter, was launched in the United States in 2000 to critical acclaim, specifically in the dental market. Since then, the brand has expanded into Canada (2004), the UK and Europe (2014), and Singapore (2016), earning a global reputation for quality, continuity and consistency.
Today, AURELIA® is trusted across a wide range of industries - from the dental sector, where dexterity, touch, and feel are important, to environments that demand heavy-duty, robust, textured protection. Our global success lies in delivering reliable performance, tailored to the needs of every user.
Meeting the World Demand
Supermax produces up to 24 billion pieces of gloves per year, meeting approximately 12% of the world's demand for latex examination gloves. Supermax has 13 manufacturing plants based in Malaysia, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, energy-saving biomass systems and a research and development centre. Four of these manufacturing facilities are already fully automated, and Supermax is planning to reach 17 manufacturing facilities by the end of 2020.
Supermax has eight own distribution centres and corporate offices based in the United States of America, Brazil, Canada, England, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan, and collaborates with over 1,200 independent distributors around the world.
Supermax Medical Inc.
In response to PPE demand from COVID-19, Supermax Healthcare Canada established our mask manufacturing line, under Supermax Medical Inc. (SMI) at our Longueuil (QC) facility. Here we are able to manufacture our made in Canada masks.
